Professor Philip Preshaw, Dean of the School of Dentistry, University of Dundee, Visits Our School for Exchange

On the afternoon of July 9th, Professor Philip Preshaw, Dean of the School of Dentistry at the University of Dundee (UoD), UK, and Professor Sze-Yung Yuen visited our school for exchange. They were received by school leaders Xu Yan, Yan Bin, Jiang Hongbing, Pan Yongchu, Yuan Hua, and heads of relevant functional departments. The exchange forum was chaired by Vice President Pan Yongchu.

Dean Yan Bin introduced the historical evolution, development overview, and distinctive features of our school's educational philosophy and medical services. He expressed the hope to build upon the longstanding friendly cooperation between the two institutions to further deepen collaboration in areas such as scientific research, teaching, and talent development.

Professor Preshaw highly commended the achievements made by our school in talent cultivation and scientific research. He provided a detailed introduction to the School of Dentistry at the University of Dundee regarding its education and teaching practices, scientific research endeavors, and admissions policies.

Party Secretary Xu Yan stated that the Nanjing Medical University (Nanjing Stomatological Hospital/School of Stomatology) and the UoD School of Dentistry share a solid foundation for cooperation in areas like international curricula and teaching research projects. She expressed the desire for the two schools to further deepen collaboration and personnel exchanges in talent development and tackling cutting-edge medical technologies in the future, contributing to the advancement of stomatology in both regions.

During the forum, both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on education and teaching, scientific research, and talent cultivation, reaching consensus on potential areas of cooperation. During their visit, Professor Preshaw and his delegation toured the Digital Experimental Teaching Center for Stomatology at Nanjing Medical University.
