Professor Jiang Xinquan, Alumnus from the Class of 1989 of Our College, Wins Huo Yingdong Education Foundation Teaching Award

Recently, the award ceremony for the 19th Huo Yingdong Education Foundation Higher Education Institutions Young Scientists Award and Teaching Award was held at Nanjing University. Wu Yan, Vice Minister of Education, Huo Zhenhuan, Chairman of the Huo Yingdong Education Foundation, Huo Zhenting, Vice Chairman, and others attended the ceremony and presented awards to the representative winning teachers. Professor Jiang Xinquan, an alumnus from the class of 1989 of our college and a faculty member at the School of Stomatology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, was awarded the Second Prize in the Teaching Award category.

The Huo Yingdong Education Foundation, established in 1986, adheres to the principle of "fostering rising stars and rewarding established scholars." It funds and rewards university teachers who have achieved outstanding results in scientific research and education and teaching. After a rigorous selection process, a total of 165 teachers from 124 universities received the 19th Higher Education Institutions Young Scientists Award and Teaching Award.

In his speech at the award ceremony, Vice Minister of Education Wu Yan emphasized the hope that the award-winning teachers would exemplify the spirit of educators, striving to become role models in cultivating students and forging souls. They should also dare to scale the "peaks of science," striving to become pioneers in overcoming challenges. Regarding this honor, Professor Jiang Xinquan expressed that he will continue to uphold the philosophy that "clinical practice is the foundation, teaching is the cornerstone, and research is the soul." He remains committed to nurturing more outstanding talents in stomatology and tirelessly advancing the development of the field.
