From October 13th to 15th, the China International College Students' Innovation Competition (2024) was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, co-sponsored by 12 central ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education, and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The project "Haoshi Yucheng – Research and Application of Oral and Maxillofacial Defect Repair Materials", guided by Associate Professor Jiang Fei, Professor Fan Yuan, and other teachers from our college, led by 2021 undergraduate Jiang Chenghao, and jointly participated in by 15 students including Zhu Xianxin, Peng Yuhan, Chen Leyao, Yuan Caijun, and Chen Yanshen, won the gold award in the Higher Education Main Track with excellent results. This marks a historic breakthrough for our college in this competition. The project was also selected for the concurrent Competition Achievement Exhibition, becoming the only project from Jiangsu Province to be included.


The China International College Students' Innovation Competition is currently the largest, highest-standard, and most influential innovation competition for college students in China. This year, a total of 5.14 million projects from 5,406 schools in 153 countries and regions registered for the competition, involving 20.836 million participants. Eventually, 1,410 outstanding projects advanced to the national finals. The competition has now become an important platform for promoting the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities, as well as a key window for showcasing the achievements of higher education reform in the new era.
